Tumescent
Liposuction
Tumescent liposuction, also
called liposculpture, is a vast improvement over
traditional liposuction. The physician "inflates"
the patient's fat with a diluted local anesthetic
before he/she vacuums it out in a process called
suction aspiration. This eliminates risks
associated with the general anesthesia used in
traditional liposuction.
Another major advantage of the
anesthesia used in the tumescent procedure is that
it practically eliminates blood loss by
constricting (tightening) blood vessels. In
traditional liposuction, no such agents are used,
with patients sometimes experiencing significant
bleeding and even needing blood transfusions.
Tumescent liposculpture also
allows the patient to remain awake during the
procedure and able to assist the surgeon in
gauging the completeness and evenness of fat
removal. The patient can actually sit or stand and
make side-to-side comparisons. Try that using
general anesthesia!
Using the tumescent method, all
liposuction cases can be performed entirely with
local anesthesia. The treated area can remain numb
for up to 24 hours, greatly reducing
post-operative discomfort.
Chemical
Peels
Wrinkles, scars, uneven
pigmentation and sun damage are all conditions
that affect the appearance of our skin.
Oiliness, large pores and dull complexions are
other common problems. These chronic
conditions can be improved with Chemical
Peels.

FAMI
Has your face become thin,
gaunt? Facial muscle shrinkage is a natural
part of the aging process. Even if you're eating
right and exercising, your face may appear thin,
due to muscular change. Occasionally, in extreme
examples, the face may become skull-like.
- Traditional Face Lift Alternative:
FAMI- FAMI can provide actual facial
rejuvenation rather than a mere stop-gap
treatment. Your features can be augmented in the
mouth, chin, jaw, cheeks, even forehead to
restore the full-faced, youthful look. This
plastic surgery alternative is an outpatient
procedure that involves removal of tissue from
the lower part of your body by liposuction and
then refining and injecting the tissue into your
facial muscles. The resultant rejuvenation is
both natural and long-lasting. FAMI does not
introduce a foreign toxic substance into your
body as is the case in BOTOX® injections.
- How is FAMI different from
BOTOX®?- "BOTOX®" is an abbreviation
for Botulism Toxin. That's right: poison. Botox
injections introduce small amounts of poison
into your body. Why would anyone prefer a
bacterial venom injection over an infusion of
your own body's natural products? BOTOX®
injections block nerve impulses to the treated
facial muscles. This paralysis is the desired
effect, but, over time, this can lead to atrophy
of the affected muscles. This will cause your
face to look older faster
Thermage Tissue
Tightening
The Thermage Procedure is a
revolutionary tissue tightening non-surgical face
lift. Thermage works by heating the underlying
layers of the skin with a unique delivery of radio
frequency (RF) energy, all the while protecting
the skin’s top layer with a cooling spray. The
result is immediate collagen contraction, which,
over time, will provide the skin with new collagen
production.
Because the Thermage Tissue
Tightening Procedure is non-surgical there is no
down time, no recovery time. You won't have to
hide your face in bandages for several weeks after
Thermage.
Collagen is to our skin what
calcium is to our bones. It is our skin's support
structure. Over time, collagen becomes depleted or
damaged by the sun and other environmental
factors, resulting in thin or loose skin. To
counteract this, many opt for the traditional face
lift, a process which literally picks the skin up
and lifts it to give a tighter, more youthful
appearance -- but this procedure does nothing to
replace the skin's natural supply of collagen.
Skin care experts have developed a non-surgical
alternative to the traditional face lift.
If your skin is hanging around
your eyes, jowls, neck, breasts or buttocks due to
a loss of collagen you may qualify for this
state-of-the-art procedure – cosmetic dermatology
that is changing the way plastic surgery is
performed.

Thread
Lift
Thread lift does not replace
a conventional face-lift; rather it offers
patients an innovative, minimally invasive
approach with immediate results.
A thread face lift procedure
performed with Contour Threads™ is safe,
conservative and effective. It offers subtle,
natural looking results. By gently, shifting
sagging tissues in an upward direction, this
technique allows your doctor to produce a relaxed,
fresh appearance while preserving and enhancing
the natural contours of your face.
Contour Threads are used for
repositioning sagging cheeks, lifting sagging
eyebrows and adjusting asymmetric brows &
face. Unlike conventional sutures which are
smooth, Contour Threads have tiny barbs or cogs
that are spaced evenly apart. Once inserted under
the skin, they are fixed in an umbrella-like
fashion and with tension create a suspension that
gently lifts the sagging tissues of the brow and
face.
Your body generates new collagen
bundles that surround each thread to maintain the
lifting effect. The exact placement of the threads
will vary from patient to patient. Contour Threads
are clear and invisible under fair or thin
skin.
The procedure is quick, usually
performed under local anesthesia, and if desired,
a light intravenous sedation. Duration varies
depending on the age of the patient at the time of
the procedure, the degree of sagging and the
number of threads used. A typical procedure
usually takes about 60 minutes. Additional threads
may be added as needed. Since this technique is
entirely reversible, unwanted effects are usually
easily corrected under local anesthesia. In most
cases, there is minimal discomfort, bruising and
swelling. Ice compresses are recommended for the
first 24-48 hours. After a contour thread lift,
patients can usually return to work or normal
activities in a few days to one week.
It is not uncommon for your
doctor to suggest combining contour threading with
BOTOX® Cosmetic to reduce facial muscle activity
or Thermage to improve skin texture. Liposuction
of the neck is another procedure that can be
performed in conjunction with Contour Threads.
Scars
Scars are formed whenever
multiple layers of skin are injured.
Accidents, surgery, burn and even acne can cause
scarring.
